Inspiration to create my work comes from looking at the world with a broad mind while travelling around Europe and Asia. My present paintings are made using a carefully chosen high quality acrylic paint and I am painting on to acrylic plates (which are later mounted on led light panels) and also on paper. Painting I do in my home town Wageningen, a small university city that lays next to the river Rhine in the center of the Netherlands. Although a small city, Wageningen is the home for people from more than 20 different countries giving it a rich cultural variety. Wageningen also hosts an agricultural university and its arboreta with a large amount of trees and flowers inspiring me to paint flowers as well.
